Concentrated Blue Dye For Basins & Ponds
Bacterius Marine Blue is a non-toxic, concentrated pond dye that adds an aesthetically appealing and natural blue color to the water.

It is a dry mixture packaged in soluble pouches that are simply tossed into basins & ponds. Each concentrated packet treats up to 1/4 acre (250,000 gallons) or 1000 m2 (1,000,000 litres). The dye will not stain plants, pets, birds or swimmers when applied at the recommended rate. It is not harmful to the environment.

One jar contains four 3 oz pouches will treat up to 1 acre from 3 to 6 feet deep or 4,000 m2 (1 to 2 meters deep). Apply one 3 oz packet for every 1/4 surface acre.

Apply packets directly into water; they will dissolve within a few minutes and disperse the dye. Allow 24 hours for the pond dye to circulate through the entire pond or lake. Reapply product as needed.

The dye will not stain swimmers, birds, fish, plants, pets, or wildlife when applied at the recommended rate. Allow the dye to fully disperse before swimming (usually 12 to 24 hours).

The pond dye provides a richer and more aesthetically pleasing appearance to the pond water by offering a "natural blue" color.

For best results, use in conjunction with a fountain or Aerator.

Bacterius 1B is a concentrated combination of natural bacterial stocks, barley straw and nutrients which will deprive the unwanted algae of their principal source of food. The bacteria in Bacterius 1B and the unwanted algae in your pond are fed by much the same elements so by adding the 1B into your pond the helpful bacteria contained in the mixture will reproduce, thrive and overwhelm the invasive algae and will eliminate it or force it to exist in a non-harmful state. Bacterius 1B works in both the higher depths and with the sediments and organic deposits on the pond bottom. By colonizing throughout the entire basin Bacterius 1B is able to attack all problem areas common in ponds.

APPLYING YOUR DRY BACTERIA
Bacterius pond bacteria products come in soluble pouches that are thrown into the pond. They work best when they are tossed near the aeration system, floating fountain or in-flowing water source or cascade. The movement of the water helps "steep" the bacterial pouch much the way a tea-bag is helped to release its content by adding gentle agitation. If there is little or no surface movement or aeration system the pouches should be cut open and mixed with pond water and then splashed across the pond surface much the same way liquid bacteria is administered.

There are three treatments that are recommended. If your pond is already infested with algae and poor water quality an initial "shock treatment" of a high dose of bacteria is added followed by a treatment the following week and then a treatment every two or three weeks depending on the results obtained. A pond which is beginning to show the initial problems inherent with murky water and algae growth but has not yet progressed to an alarming state of eutrophication requires a milder initial treatment followed by a maintenance dose. For ponds and water gardens that are relatively healthy a low maintenance dosage is added on a two or three-week program depending on environmental factors and achieved results.
